As per module 6, resilience and grit are important learning skill. Resilience is the ability to quickly recover from setbacks or difficulty. What is great is the ability to preserve towards a goal despite being confronted by obstacles and distractions (Oaks, n.d). Our main aim should be to build these up and learn how to learn from failure. For assessment, my grit score was 4.40 and based on this I think I display a good level of the skill but of course there is room for improvement.
The artifact I have chosen for this blog are two letters. The first letter is my rejection letter from the business faculty at the University of Manitoba and the second letter is my offer letter from the same faculty. The business faculty is highly competitive to enter. The first letter is from fall 2018 where is the second letter is from for 2019. During my second year, I got very low marks in one semester and my GPA dropped due to this, I didn’t get into my faculty of choice. I really wanted to major in accounting and pursue my CPA designation. I worked really hard the coming semesters and pulled back my GPA and finally I applied and got in the faculty.
This artifact demonstrates that if you work hard and learn from your failures and show resilience and grit in the process towards your goals; you will achieve them.
