Do you have a Growth mindset or a Fixed mindset? Take the quiz!!

As explained in the module, a mindset is a collection of your personal beliefs and attitudes you have towards a particular situation. According to Carol Dweck, there are two types of mindsets: the fixed and the growth. The fixed mindset individuals believe that intelligence and talent are fixed, and one can’t do much to succeed in life if they don’t have the necessary talents. Whereas the growth mindset individuals believe that abilities and qualities can be cultivated through dedication and hard work. I want to focus more on the growth mindset obviously and I do believe that if you work hard and are dedicated enough you can achieve your goals.

As my artifact for this post, I chose the mindset assessment results that we did during the module (link is attached below). I would like to talk about this assessment because it shows a clear picture on where I am with the mindsets learning skill.

The assessment above shows I have a growth mindset and I am willing to put in the work required to achieve my goals. However, there are some places I can improve in like not worrying or overthinking situations and blaming myself if something goes wrong. I think based on the module and the assessment, I need to put in more efforts to understand or learn a new skill but not get disappointed or give up when I have a setback. My takeaways would definitely be to take criticism in a positive manner and focus on developing a higher level of growth mindset.
